Spray paint painting of a crow flying

The Flap

One of the things I enjoy doing with spray paint and stencils is experimenting with negative space and layering. This painting is a great example of the movement and flow that can be created by spraying around a template, using the negative space to create the image.

water color paintng of a hawk landing

water color paintng of a hawk landingI was out walking one morning and spotted beautiful red-tailed hawk circling in the sky above me. We walked together for a while and then suddenly, he swooped down, chasing something in the field. He was pure energy…and like that, he was back in the sky, far above me, searching again.
